To those who take to
the sky reluctantly (or at least not at the controls, and have wondered what has come over
their partner)!
Well, we fully realize
that flying is not EVERYONE'S passion (why, we'll never know!!),but that there are many
other interests as well.
For Rich, cooking is one
of them. SO, in the interest of serving all of our customer's (and customer's other
halves!), this page is dedicated to activities NON-aviation related...

Unfortunately,
many people today think that Italian food is only spaghetti and
pizza. Through our monthly posts, you may learn how wrong that is, and have opened to
you a whole new world of
exotic flavor!
My
grandmother
passed
when I was 18, but not before she got me started on how to cook
authentic
Italian
dishes. Although being in this country for 50 years, she refused to speak English
because she said that God gave her the Italian tongue, so she would only speak Italian,
unless she got mad-- then the English (“French” came out of her)!
She would bite her hand and
yell: “Somonabeecha”!
Gramma was the greatest, and she
cooked like no one else alive knows how. What an angel she was!
Her name was Lucy Attinelli, and
she was born in Naples, Italy……Napolitano!
We all called her “cia Lugie”, (Lu-G,aunt Lucy) for some reason.
Although
dad wasn’t an angel,  he was in the
restaurant business where Rich learned a lot also. Our original last name was Zeffiro,
but when dad came to Buffalo, New York as a kid from Italy, he got beat up a lot being
Italian, by the Irish kids who’s dads were mostly cops-- and all Italians were thought
to be mafia. His teacher changed his name spelling to sound more Greek to save his hide,
and the name Zephro was
born.

My sauseege and sauce
My cheese/olive/seasoned bread
Well, I'm blessed to have my kids custody now,
and I will not fall in to some bask where I won't appreciate every minute I have my
children with me. Here is Mika once again demonstrating the fruits of her and daddy.
Here we made Halloween Style bread. The one on the right demonstrates Italian sausage
and cheese stuffing, but it also has some "leftover" Chicken ala' Zef complete with some
peppers, mushrooms, and the result of chicken that recipe brings you. The loaf on the
left is Italian sausage stuffed with white and cheddar left over Cheese Crumbles thanks
to Sean. The color came out near the Color of the Season, so we can call it zef's (more
than one) Halloween Brrrrrrrrrrrread! Pan! Basic food of the earth and its history! Was
it good? Dingbat, can't you smell it? :o)

BTW, we're going to Cheryl Bodenbender's (that's
right, Bodenbender, if you
ever need your Boden bent; that's what they do..)
house tonight for her annual and "best in
the world" costume party. So, being there year after year, ya'd think they'd axe us to
bring some Italian main courses, but NOOOOOO!
"zef, bring your stuffed bread, deep dish
pizza, and bagel dogs once again".
I TELL YOU, I GET NO RESPECT!
